The Story

Amidst the pandemic and the ongoing protests, I’ve felt creatively stagnant, miss my community and am struggling to make money. And most importantly, I question how I can best serve Black lives in this country. So, I’m launching this creative effort. It’s a conversation, an art piece and a fundraiser.

50% will be donated to The Loveland Foundation. With the barriers affecting access to treatment by members of diverse ethnic and racial groups, Loveland provides financial assistance to Black women and girls nationally seeking therapy.

How It Works

1. You think of a one-sentence (or shorter) word prompt. i.e. What’s on your mind? How are you feeling? Anything really.

2. Send this prompt with $ and your mailing address to -
   Venmo: vikesh-kapoor
   Paypal: vkshkpr@gmail.com

3. I respond to your prompt by making a photograph on FP-100C, a Polaroid film stock that is no longer made. Each photograph measures 3.25 x 4.25 inches and will be signed and editioned as 1/1. Your print is one-of-a-kind and will never be replicated.

A unique and commissioned work between you and me.
